Nothing is wrong with the anime shot itself. The failure is the missing export specification. This guide shows you how to set up that export spec step by step, so nothing gets lost between approval and delivery.

Batch export for AI anime is harder than pressing download because a project usually has many related outputs: master clips, vertical variants, square crops, covers, thumbnails, prompt records, voice timing, caption files, metadata, rights notes, and archived selected takes. If these deliverables are not planned together, the team spends the last day fixing filenames, resizing covers, and explaining which version is approved.

Export starts earlier than most people think: the aspect ratio (16:9 or 9:16) and style are locked in the Story Brief before a single shot gets generated, so every shot in the project already renders to spec instead of needing a reformat pass later. Plan exports before final polish. Format, duration, aspect ratio, safe zones, audio state, subtitle needs, and metadata can affect shot composition. If those rules arrive after rendering, the team fixes delivery by cropping away the work it just approved.

Separate creative approval from delivery approval. A shot can pass character, action, and story review but still fail because the file is the wrong resolution or lacks caption timing. Use distinct statuses so nobody assumes "approved" means "ready to ship."

Make the manifest boring and explicit. Each line should identify the deliverable, source shot, format, aspect ratio, duration, language, audio state, caption state, owner, and approval status. Clever folder structures do not replace a readable manifest.

Keep metadata with the asset it describes. Prompt record, reference roles, usage notes, title, episode number, platform caption, and export date should not live in a disconnected document. If the file travels to an editor or archive, its context should travel too.

Run a sample export before the batch. Choose one representative shot, export every required variant, and review the handoff. It is cheaper to find the wrong safe zone on one clip than on forty.

How to Run the Batch Export Workflow, Step by Step

Start with a delivery brief. List where the work will go: editor handoff, client review, social publishing, archive, dub pass, trailer cut, or episode assembly. Each destination creates different files. Do not invent deliverables without a destination.

There's no manifest to build inside ArcLoop — the project itself is the record. Arrange the approved shots on the Edit timeline, trim and reorder as needed, add Generate Voiceover and BGM there, then use Export / Publish when the cut is ready. That single path is the deliverable list.

Write delivery specifications for each destination. For platform files, define aspect ratio, duration range, cover size, caption requirement, audio state, and title/copy field. For editor files, define codec or container, handles if needed, audio split, prompt records, and review notes. For archive files, define source bundle, selected take, final export, and approval evidence.

Check names before rendering the batch. Naming should carry project, episode, shot, variant, version, and status, but not become a paragraph. If metadata is long, put it in the manifest instead of the filename.

Export one full sample package. Review the sample as if you are the recipient. Can the editor identify source shot and status without asking? Can the publisher find the correct cover? Can the archive connect the final to the selected take?

If something's off in the export, fix it at the source: regenerate the one shot that's wrong, or re-trim it on the Edit timeline, instead of restarting the whole project. The identity and setting held in My Assets don't need to be touched — only the one broken piece does.

"Batch export" usually means two different jobs in two different places, so split them before you start.

Batch generation comes first, in the Episode's Storyboard. Instead of clicking Generate on one shot card after another, type one line in the AI Chat Panel — "Generate videos for Shots 4, 7, and 9." — and all three render in one pass. Check each result on its shot card. If one is off, regenerate that shot alone and leave the rest untouched.

Batch export is the Edit timeline. Pull the shots you've signed off on onto the timeline in delivery order. Trim heads and tails to your duration spec and reorder where the cut needs it. Add Generate Voiceover and BGM only after the cuts are locked, so you aren't re-timing audio after every trim. Then watch the whole timeline once, start to finish, as if you were the recipient: a shot out of order, a dead frame at a cut point, the lantern clue sitting too close to the edge of a 9:16 frame — all of that is cheaper to catch here than after the file has gone out.

Only then use Export / Publish. That one step outputs the finished cut of the timeline. Aspect ratio and style were already fixed in the Story Brief, so there is no reformat pass at the end, and the project itself stays the record of which shots and assets went into the file.

Export Lives on the Timeline, Not in a Separate System

Export isn't a separate system bolted onto the end — it's the last step of the same project. The character and scene assets in My Assets, the shots in the episode's storyboard, and the timeline in Edit are all part of one workflow, so Export / Publish is working from the same project you built the episode in, not a spreadsheet guessing at creative history.

Use character profile fields to set up the production path before the batch grows. For an episodic project, keep one delivery checklist per episode and one manifest per release package. For a multi-platform campaign, keep one creative master and separate platform variants. This prevents a social crop from becoming the accidental archive master.

The planning stays inside the same project too: the Story Outline, the character and scene assets in My Assets, the episode storyboards, and the Edit timeline all live in one IP Project. The team shouldn't need to plan elsewhere and import a pile of files at the end — Export / Publish just picks up what's already there.

Teams also put too much information in filenames. A useful filename identifies the deliverable; the manifest carries the full context. Long filenames break quickly and still fail to explain approval history.

A fourth mistake is exporting every possible variant. Batch export is not a menu of hypothetical formats. Export the formats tied to real destinations. Add new variants when a new platform, editor, language, or archive rule actually needs them.
